Starion, with our partner companies, are always looking for new technology and new products that offer water saving benefits. KWC and Hansa products are both functional and visually appealing, but beyond the presentation of water their production processes are designed to meet and exceed their obligations to the environment and society at large. Schell and Virtu have no products with a water-efficiency less than WELS 3-Star, while the manufacturing processes of Emco ensure every environmental measure and precaution is taken. As a company the value of water is never underestimated at Starion and it is our aim to make sure that its beauty is seen for years to come.

Starion/GWA

• Starion are constantly seeking products which are both environmentally sound in their production and in their use, every day. This includes many WELS 6-Star rated products, which is the highest possible water-efficiency rating given in Australia.
• GWA, Starion’s parent company, have implemented various environmentally conscious products and programs including; Dux solar hot water, Caroma’s Eco Logical Solutions and Sebel’s 100% recyclable Postura chair, while Gainsborough has reduced its water consumption and increased the use of recyclable materials

Hansa

• The majority of Hansa’s popular taps are equipped with the ECO adjustable flow rate for enhanced water conservation - saving precious litres
• The 2-step ECO cartridge enables 16% water savings when operated in the first step
• Hansa work towards achieving a minimum 4-Star (7.5 l/min) on all there tapware, wherever possible

KWC

• In the year 2000 KWC acquired the esteemed ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) 9001 certification as a result of the execution and maintenance of a quality management system that fulfils the requirements of the ISO
• The ISO ensure that their stringent criteria guarantee valuable attributes, such as quality, eco-friendliness, safety, reliability, efficiency, compatibility, and economical costs. By meeting and exceeding these standards KWC is able to contribute to a healthier world

Schell

• All Schell flushvalves presently comply with Australian standard WELS 3-Star water efficiency rating or better and the organisation continues to look for improvements in water efficiency
• Schell remain committed to the recently introduced WELS scheme and the water conservation that this program aims to achieve

Emco

• Emco was one of the first companies to apply a complete Quality-Environment-Safety (QES) management system and they are fully aware of their responsibilities towards the environment, from product development through to product disposal
• Emco have been awarded the ISO 14001 which is given for environmental management systems that reduce environmental footprint of a business and decrease the pollution and waste a business produces.
